Frank Cek bought this car in 1963 and dragged it out of a mud bog. He then spent 36 years and much of his own blood, sweat, and tears restoring it. The result is stunning, and is thought to be one of only two such cars remaining. Its V-12 engine, developed by Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg subsidiary Lycoming, was originally designed to be a 45-degree V-16, but the company decided that a twelve was more marketable. Unfortunately it was too late to change the vee-angle to the 60-degree layout of a typical V-12. The result was the lowest-priced V-12 available in 1933.
