1934 Maybach Zeppelin DS8 Spohn Cabriolet 4-Seat

Because of the company’s ties to the aeronautical industry, Karl Maybach commissioned a number of aerodynamic cars to be built through the years. The first few-like Chrysler’s Airflow-failed to impress at the auto shows. This car picks up some aero flourishes, like the speed-lines on the fenders behind the front wheels, but in a conventional-looking car. This one was the Berlin show car in 1934, and the company kept this car for many years.
