The Chevrolet Beat minicar, first seen as a concept at the 2007 New York auto show, has been green-lighted and will come to the U.S. in 2011 as the Chevy Spark. GM believes that the uncertainty of oil prices will make Americans more willing to buy a tiny car. Far smaller than even Chevy’s diminutive Aveo, the Spark will be the least expensive model in the Chevy line and likely the most fuel efficient.
