In addition to the Ram Bianco that Dodge has already announced, the automaker will be bringing a number of other “Moparized” products to the upcoming SEMA show—including a couple more upgraded Rams.
2010 Chromed Dodge Ram Heavy Duty
Start with a Ram turbo-diesel 2500 crew cab 4×4, add a two-inch lift and 35-inch tires, stick on some chrome accents, and you’ve got the Chromed Ram HD. While the body itself isn’t chromed—as we’d originally hoped—the side steps, door-sill guards, tailgate bezel, fuel door, and exhaust tip are. The interior has also gotten a makeover, adding a rear-seat entertainment package and Katzkin leather seating. The standard 6.7-liter Cummins makes 350 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque, so the job of moving all that chrome should be no sweat.
2010 Dodge Ram Heavy Duty Ultimate Tow Machine
For this beast, Dodge began with a 3500 Mega Cab 4×4—a truck that offers a towing capacity of up to 16,450 pounds. Powered by the same 6.7-liter Cummins turbo-diesel as the Chromed Ram, the Ultimate Tow Machine predictably gets its upgrades in the towing department. There’s a bed-mounted gooseneck hitch plus running boards, heavy-duty splash guards, all-weather floor mats, and a retractable bed step to make towing life a little easier. Dodge has also added its Uconnect Web system which allows for in-vehicle internet connectivity.
