1902 Mercedes 45 hp Tourer

This lovely wooden-bodied Tourer was the oldest Mercedes on the show field, and it varied little from those commissioned by Emil Jelinek under the condition that they be named for his daughter Mercedes. The cars came to be nicknamed Simplex because they were so easy to use and maintain.
