Just like last year, Porsche’s entire consumer model line won. Not only did Porsche’s 912 (four cylinders, 102 horsepower) win its class and the 6-cylinder 148 horsepower 911 /L win its class, but both did it by simply overwhelming the opposition. In the small bore category the 912 received twice as many as the second place Lotus Elan, while in the 1600-3000cc class the 911 series walked off with over half the total vote—an astounding 50.2% of the ballots cast. No matter what powerplant, any Porsche boasts of excellent road manners, precise braking, meticulous workmanship and outstanding comfort. We’ve said it many times before, and it seems that you agree with us; Porsche is what the Grand Touring concept is all about.
